Triskelion de Mindanao is not Tau Gamma Phi because we firmly believe that Tau Gamma Phi resides in the Chapters. In other words, each and every chapter is Tau Gamma Phi itself; operating independently from each other however bonded in one spirit since each chapter adheres to the same Tenets and Code of Conduct.
Triskelion de Mindanao is simply an umbrella organization of all Triskelion Entities in Mindanao, to wit: Tau Gamma Phi Chapters, Tau Gamma Sigma Chapters, and Triskelion Alumni Organizations. It does not exercise Governing Power but we only exercise Remedial Power, which is basically inherent in nature and bestowed by the Tenets and Code of Conduct.
Triskelion de Mindanao advocates the empowerment of the Chapters and emphasizes the governing power of the Grand Triskelions. We instill in the minds of the brods and sis that each and every chapter has to responsibly govern itself in order to attain supremacy in their respective territories. However, although independent in governance, each chapter must observe accountability to the name Tau Gamma Phi because no chapter has the sole right to the name Tau Gamma Phi. This is where the remedial power of Triskelion de Mindanao comes in. Basically it is to ensure that each chapter must live within the boundaries of the Tenets and Code Conduct.
Hopefully in the future, if ever we come up with one constitution to govern the entire Triskelion forces. We in Triskelion de Mindanao strongly suggest that it has to be a Federal Type of Government wherein the Chapters will remain to be governing units and the Grand Triskelions can still exercise governing power.
Strong chapters make strong councils, and will definitely make a strong Fraternity Worldwide.

I have observed and was there for a while during the 1st Zamboanga Peninsula Assembly (cluster 3)-on Feb 22, 2009, wherein triskelion de mindanao was being introduced and discussed during my presence, also the encouragement of the alumni to excel and become active for once.
I was a triskelion survived on the year between 1986-87 in which I already forget everything, my gt, gov gen and even sad to say I cannot anymore shout the 4 founding fathers (but fortunately I can remember names of talek pablo and rodrigo ordinaria only as to refresh my memories. Well honestly I become inactive eversince I finish my college … only until I realize that I have bros in the pnp organization where I am currently connected.
The idea of encouraging alumni to participate and become active for once is very attractive and good in my own understanding, as it does not only help the fraternity in the lower ephsilon and chapters, inasmuch as it also help contribute the fraternity’s goal to professionalize the entire sorority as well.
NOw that I learned about this alumni thing much of my willingness to become active once more … but I myself do not even know where I do belong actually. At present I am assigned in Zamboanga del Norte for almost about 5 years now, but I do not even know who and how many are there chapters within this locality. I have known some personalities but sad to say that I cannot determine where shall I start.

after i have read your column, i realized that we are far behind than what you guys have been doing. i am a member of the tau gamma phi fraternity and currently studying in msu tawi-tawi. i have read many of the fraternity’s activities and bonding and somehow i felt bad for our chapter here, i mean i feel that we are not recognized here because we have no contanct and others hardly knows about us.. yes we have alumni here, but others are busy and are no longer interested in the fraternity and it made me think that maybe this is the end point of joining and entering the fraternity.. honestly, our chapter is dying and i have no strenght to bring them back together, i want a fraternity that is united because even i dont know who my brods and sis are.. its as if they entered the fraternity and forgotten their vows.. i hope someone will help us here.. we really need your help guys.. luckily i have found this website and i think this is the only way that i could air my problems.. i hope someday we will be doing lots of stuff like what you guys have been doing and for that i wish we will be recognized too.. thnx more power us!!!
